Weekend Recap!

This weekend was great, especially since the weather was Ah-Mazing!

Saturday, I slept in and then went to the dog park with my friend Lauren and her pug Lulu. I have never seen a dog so excited in my life, Lulu was making the funniest sounds and people kept looking at us like we were hurting her, but we weren't. The funniest part was that the little dog section was pug city, and they all ran and played together like they knew they were similar. Dogs can be pretty weird sometimes! Cupie, however, did not like the park as much. She has started to get a little attached to mama and I think she was scared that I was going to leave her there, so she made me hold her the almost the whole time. It was really fun though, and it was nice to have some warmer weather for a chance!
Cupie and Lulu, who is leaning away from my baby! Rude!

I babysat Saturday night, which is something I never get asked to do, so I was pretty excited! It was for my second cousins children, who are not too young, so we hung out and watched a movie and some TV. The parents didn't end up staying out late, so I headed home around 9, but not before a stop at Coldstone! I have been craving something good and sweet recently, and since I was in the area (not really at all, but that's ok) I decided to stop by and get a little heaven on earth, aka a vanilla milkshake with caramel in it. Talk about delish!!!

Sunday, we went to church and then my mom and I ran some errands in the afternoon. I also went to they gym. I have been going to the gym pretty regularly and I am definitely noticing a difference in how much I can work out and how far I can push myself, but I still have a long way to go!

And, in other training news, the race that I have been planning on doing for a while, the Irongirl, is now officially full and there is no wait list:( I should have signed up right away, but I procrastinated and now I can't do it. I am going to find another to do, but I was excited about that one because it was women only, and I thought that would be much less intimidating! Oh well, maybe next year?

Anyways, hope y'all had a fabulous weekend and a great Monday!

What I'm Lovin'

So since my blog has been acting funky, so I'm a day late on this ooopsies!

Today I'm lovin...

1. All the packages i've been getting! I got in all of my Bake it Pretty stuff, my SweatyBands, and my super cute ribbons that I ordered to do a little crafting for V-day!
I just love the cute little cupcakes!

These are SO stinkin cute for the gym and they really don't slip, like, fo-real!

2. I get to see the bf in only 2 1/2 weeks! I'm so excited he is coming to Atlanta for a weekend! Now I just need to think of some fun stuff for us to do...

3. Getting things done! I have been trying to keep my life organized this year, and so far, so good. I have organized my room and have been using my planner and making lists non-stop. I have gotten a TON done though. I've gotten all of my doctors visits taken care of (dentist, derm, ect), paid most of my bills, and decluttered my bathroom and closets. I'd say thats a pretty good beginning to 2011!

4. Nike running outfits! I think Nike has some of the cutest running "outfits" that just make you wanna get out there and go for a run! The make great bright colors and clothing that is really great to run/ workout in!

Don't you just love those colors?

Well, thats it for the day! Hope y'all had a great Wednesday (and Thursday)!

Party planning!

So my Valentines party is fast approaching and I am so excited!! I think I finally narrowed down what I'm going to make for dinner and dessert, but I'm still not sure about appetizers or drinks. I really want to find some champagne splits, so everybody can have their own. I thought it would be really cute with the straws I ordered from Bake It Pretty, to just drink right outta the bottle. I also would like to try my hand at bar tending and make a special cocktail for the night. I know its a sunday, but a few drinks are necessary to celebrate, or for some wallow (is that a bad choice of words?), the holiday of love!

On a similar note, my order from Bake it Pretty came in today, and I was really excited because I didn't expect it so soon! I was a little disappointed though, because 2 of the items they sent me were wrong! And the packing list was even checked off by hand! I hope I can get the exchange going quickly, so I can get my lilac, not blue, candy pearls and my red and white polka dot, not striped, straws soon! Otherwise I was happy with my order. I got a new Valentines cookie cutter set, with a Cupid and a heart with an arrow, and several different shaped hearts. I also got some cupcake wrappers that are pink plaid that will be perf for my cupcakes I'm going to serve for dessert!

My mom and I also got some cute bake wear yesterday at HomeGoods for my party. We got a red and white polka dot baking dish for a dip, and a cute white tray with red and pink hearts for other appetizers. With all these Valentines things, I am so excited to have the party! Now all I have to do is send out my invitations when they come in.

Anywho, it was a LONG day at work and I'm ready to kick back and relax!!! Is it Friday yet?!? Haha

Hope y'all had a great day!

Sweaty bands...and other things

As I was looking through the December issue of Shape Magazine last night I came across several things that I loved and just had to share!

First of all, Sweaty Bands! Gross name, but they are so stinkin' cute! They are headbands to wear while working out, but I think you could wear them any time! Also, they say they don't slip! Well I went to their website, and they have TONS of cute designs to choose from and I did not leave empty handed! I got one that they showed in Shape with multicolored polka dots and two damask-looking ones. They are pretty pricey, but you get 10% off if you use the code "sweaty" at checkout. This was definitely an impulse buy, but I think having cute workout gear is a really good motivation tool for me! I will post a picture of them when them come in!

Second, there was a section about true stories of women's "secrets to success" and one was about a woman who started doing triathlons! I was excited to read her little story because it motivated me to keep training for my race and to see that other women have started for scratch and done really well! She also lost 50 pounds in the process! What an inspirational story!

Thirdly, the issue had a recipe for one of my new favorite things, quinoa! My boyfriend introduced me to this little grain several months ago, and I really like it! It is like a mix between rice and couscous, and it has a really interesting texture. The bf was raving about it because it is a complete protein, blah blah blah. I don't know much about food in terms of proteins and amino acids etc, but I don know its very good for you and it tastes good too! Anyway, there was a recipe for cheese and quinoa stuffed red peppers that I can't wait to try. My mom makes some really good stuffed peppers with ground beef and rice, but I think this would be a nice new twist on an old dish!

That's all of the stuff I really loved, but I must say that Brook Burke was on the cover and her body is flaw-less! If that isn't motivation to get my butt to the gym, I don't know what is!

We went to HomeGoods again today (its becoming a sick habit of me and my mom's) and then I made some homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner. I hate to toot my own horn, but it was pretty darn good!

Hope y'all had a fab Sunday!

The King's Speech

I went to see the King's Speech tonight with one of my bffs Lauren, and it was the best movie I have seen in a really long time! I thought Colin Firth was just amazing, and I loved Helena Bonham played a serious role. Every time I think of her I think of her crazy style and movies like Alice in Wonderland and Sweeney Todd. I really like historical movies, I don't know why, but they just seem to have a lot more meaning. (That's not to say that I don't enjoy a silly movie every now and then) It was also interesting to see after I spent 6 weeks in London this summer, especially Westminster Abbey since I got to do to a church service there! If you haven't seen this yet it's a MUST!

Otherwise today was pretty chill. We went on a lovely family trip to Costco (you know I can't resist a trip to Costco) and then my mom and I ran some errands this afternoon. We got a really cute Valentines wreath for our backdoor at HomeGoods, and there were TONS of other Valentines decorations that I just might have to go back and get.

I am trying to cut caffeine out of my diet, and my head has been KILLIN me! Whoever says that caffeine is not addictive is a lier!! I am having serious withdrawals, but I'm sure it will be better in the long run.

That's all for today! Hope y'all had a great Saturday!!!

UPS, you're killing me!

So, I ordered 2 swimsuits and goggles last week so I could start my swim training for my race, and I have been eagerly waiting for that lovely brown truck to drive up our street. Today was supposed to be the day, but alas, no package. (I saw the truck drive up and down the street without stopping, so I know its not because they haven't come yet) The online tracking info says there was a weather delay in Atlanta. Um, sorry but I'm here and the weather looks pretty good to me! UGH

The reason I am excited about this, other than to finally start swimming, is that I ordered the "grab bag" suits off of SwimOutlet.com. This is where you tell them your size and they send you what they have from previous seasons. I was looking for good suits that were cheap and this was the best option. I don't really care what they look like, but I'm still a little excited to see what they send.

Other than my frustration with UPS, today was good, and I'm excited that it's almost the weekend! I don't have many plans, but I am excited to go try a cupcake place that I read about on SouthernVogue's blog, because I found out there is one RIGHT near my house! Woohoo And possibly a trip to my fave place on earth, HomeGoods, to look for some Valentines decorations for the partay I'm planning!!

Hope y'all had a great Thursday!!!

What I'm Lovin'

Today I am totally lovin'...

1. Tinyprints.com! I just ordered the cutest Valentines party invitations, and stickers to put on my Valentines "goody bags" for my friends and people at work. I wasn't even thinking about having a party until I checked out their darling selection, and I just had to do it. And the best part? I got 10% off my entire order by using the code VDAY, yay! And even better, they are supposed to be here by this Friday!! Now I'm excited to start planning my menu and decorations!

2. Food Network! I was sick yesterday and came home from work early, and I got to watch a few hours of some of my favorite shows. Giada made some delicious looking cheese and chive popovers and the Neelys made a chicken Alfredo pizza that looked to die for!! Also, Sunny Anderson made a delish looking artichoke salad on Cooking for Real that I will definitely be making soon!

3. My sweet little Cupie! Poor baby took a tumble a few days ago that literally almost scared her to death. I won't go into detail, but she was playing on top of the big dog crate and tried to jump to hers and her leg got caught. I wasn't there, but my parents said it was terrifying and they thought she broke her leg. Luckily, she is completely fine and has stayed away from the crates since.
In her Valentines bandanna. Since her name is Cupie, Valentines is her favorite holiday, other than her birthday. (Also, I put this picture on the back of my valentines invites, I thought it was cute and festive and I love how TinyPrints lets you do that!!

4. Pretty smelling candles like this one:

Voluspa Pink Magnolia
or one of my all time favorite scents:
Archipelago South Beach Candles and Diffuser

Well, I'm lovin' plenty today, but I'll leave it at that.

Hope y'all had a great Wednesday!

Revamping my room

Since I moved back into the rents house after graduation I have not been too happy with my bedroom. I did a HUGE cleanup/ giveaway/ throwaway right when I moved home of all the junk I have been "saving" since 7th grade when I moved into my brothers old room and he moved to the basement. I had sooo much to get rid of and I did pretty well, but recently I have been trying to organize and simplify my room, as well as make it more "me." My only problem is that I am probably the worlds WORST decorator!!! So don't judge at my lack of "putting things together" skills.

I have several things I still want to do to spruce things up a bit:

Get new bedding! I used to have twin beds, but moved my extremely comfy queen bed into my room when I moved back. I have great sheets, from Costco no less (they are the softest sheets ever, and pretty decently priced for the quality). But, I really want a new quilt and duvet and shams, ect. My room is yellow, which isn't bad, but I'm more of a pink and green kinda girl these days. A few things that I have had my eye on:

The Caroline green damask Duvet with pink accents from Serena and Lily
With:
Serena and Lily diamond quilt in pink

Or:
Lilly Pulitzer La-Te- Dah Dahlia Coverlet and Sham in Aquamarine

Lilly Pulitzer Monkey Trouble comforter and shams

This one is a little childish, but this is one of my all time favorite Lilly prints. Its fun and pink and green!!!

Pine Cone Hill Citrus Scramble Duvet and Shams
I also love this one, which is a little more "grown up" with just a white bed spread.

I also want to get some cute boxes/ bins to organize things on the shelves in my bathroom and in my window seat.

I have gotten a few things recently that have helped fix up my room:

I got a new pencil cup and letter sorter from The Container store, which replaced the set I used to have on my desk that was HIDEOUS. It was white with ivy that looked straight out of the early 90's, and had coloring all over it which I did as a child. Check out my Monkey Trouble notes, I also have the magnetic board (told you I love that print) haha

I also got the silver cart under my desk. It the mesh and metal don't really match the style of my room, but I needed a file holder and it has the little drawer to hold all my cables and random computer stuff. I also put my cable box on top of that to make more room on my desk.

Finally, I got this cute light green magazine holder (which pretty much perfectly matches my pencil cup and envelope sorter, but I got that bad boy at T.J. Maxx) I also got the paisley box from Marshall's and it holds all of my camera stuff. I want more of those to organize the shelves I mentioned earlier.

Well, that's all I've done so far, hopefully I will find some bedding soon so I can stop scouring the Internet for something I like. More changes to come!

Hope y'all had a great Tuesday!!

MIA

Sorry I have been M.I.A. for the past few days y'all. And I was doing so well blogging every day! Oh well.

No more snow days and training progress

I never thought I would be excited about snow days ending, but I was so glad to go back to work today!! Though, for the past 2 days "ice day" would be more appropriate than snow day! A lot of places in Atlanta look like you could skate on them the ice is so thick!

Since we have been cooped up for so long, I haven't worked out since last Saturday! Just when I was getting in the swing of things, this ice storm hit and now I feel like I have lost all my momentum. Hopefully I can start hitting the gym again tomorrow, because I definitely realize how much better I feel after some exercise!

On a related note, I ordered 2 swimsuits and some goggles online today, and I plan on starting my swimming training as soon as they get here. The swimming part of the race I'm training for is the scariest part for me! I did summer swim team as a child, but it's been a while since I even swam a lap. It will surely be interesting and I will have to let y'all know how it goes for my first workout.

I also need to start going to cycling class (I call it spinning, but whatever floats your boat) at my gym to train for the 18 mile biking portion of the race. I feel pretty confident about that part, but I need to get going and get the feel for it. I really want a road bike of my own, for my race and just for leisure, but they are outrageously priced!!! Even used ones are crazy expensive, but if I could I would take this one:

Trek Speed Concept WSD 2.5 tribike

Too bad the base price is a little over $1,900!! Would be cool, but ain't gonna happen!

Hopefully I can find a good bike that is cheaper, because I would love one of my own to practice outdoors, not only in the gym.

Well, that's my progress in terms of the Irongirl race, not too great right now, but I know I will get beck into the swing of things as soon as the weather is good enough to drive places other than to work and home!!

Oh, and by the way, I have an idea for an AWESOME giveaway for when I get 50 followers, so get your friends, family, and yourself if you don't already, to follow my blog!!!

Hope y'all had a great Thursday!!!

What I'm Lovin'

The things that I am totally digging right now:

1. Red chandelier earrings, like these (perfect for a valentine date!):
From bijouxbydesif. Find them on Etsy here!

or these

By Rhonda Michaels Jewelry, find them here!

of finally these beauts: (Thanks to Megan, over at Pretty in Pink Megan, for introducing me to this designer!)

Kendra Scott Linden earrings, find them at Zappos!

2. Organization! I finally got a file cart/ cabinet this weekend to put all my papers and "junk" in. I also got a really nice banana leaf "trunk" (I call it a box, but whatever floats your boat) at Target. I guess Target now carries a Smith & Hawken line? I remember my mom always use to shop in their store for home and garden items, but the stores all went out of business within the past year.
I think it is a little darker than this, but its a cuter way to store things than a plain old plastic box
They also had some round baskets that I might have to snatch up as well.

3. The Kate Spade Gold Coast Evangeline! It is so cute, not too big or too small, and has a classic look. It comes in black or ash, which is a nice neutral, beige. Most of my purses are so large I could carry a small child in them, so a small bag would be a nice change!

4. Cooking! We are on DAY 3 of being stuck inside and I've been so bored I have eaten myself through house and home! But I have made some pretty good meals. Last night I made sort of an Asian flank steak that was really good! Tonight we're having fajitas, with roasted corn salsa (more like a relish) and spicy cilantro lime sour cream. I'm pretty excited, and I found all the ingredients in our house! Amazing what you can make with whats in the fridge/ freezer/ pantry!!

Roasted corn salsa, I hope it's good!!

5. Flowers indoors. With all this nasty weather, there is noting better than some pretty flowers to brighten your day! I love these orchids and this Christmas star (I think its an amaryllis)

One thing I'm not lovin'? STILL BEING STUCK AT HOME!!! I hope the ice melts, because I've gotta get outta here!!

Hoarding is probably the right word

As I mentioned earlier, I can really be a hoarder. Especially when it comes to things like beauty products, including makeup, haircare, skincare, ect. I told myself I wouldn't but here is a picture of my over-filled makeup drawer. It is crazy that I have so much, especially since recently I have been to lazy to even wear makeup! (Trust me, its not pretty, but sleeping that extra few minutes has been worth the trade off.)
At least its fairly organized, right?

That being said, I do have some favorite products that I thought I would share will y'all. I am obsessed with washing my face and keeping it clean, so here are a few of my fave things right now (some will change as soon as I see the latest and greatest and decided I "have" to have it):

(Listed counter-clockwise)
Clinique "take the day off" makeup remover
Pink Clairsonic (I SWEAR by this thing)
Purpose gentle cleansing wash (use it with the Clairsonic)
Clinique moisture surge (THE best moisturizer
Clinique All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Roller
Clinique All About Eyes Rich
 Kiehls midnight recovery concentrate
Kiehls Milk, honey and almond scrub (always need a good scrub and it smells great)
Lancome Mousse Radiance (when I don't use the Clairsonic)

Essie Ballet Slippers Nail Polish
Bare Minerals blush in Timeless
Bare Minerals Big and Bright Eyeliner in Plum
Bobbi Brown Holiday 2010 Day to Night warm eye palette
bare Minerals Flawless Definition volumizing mascara in black (LOVE THIS!!)
bare Minerals 100% natural lip gloss in 7 layer cake (pretty sheer pink)
MAC bronzer
Bobbi Brown corrector in Bisque
Bobbi Brown Concealer kit in Warm Ivory
Lancome Photogenic Lumessence Compact in Buff 4 (Great for Winter)

Does anybody else love any of these? Or have any suggestions for products I should try?
Let me know!

P.S. Reason for this random post= day 2 stuck at home because of this snow/ ice storm in Atlanta... I don't know what I am going to do if they're is a day 3!!

SNOW DAY!!

So, to my surprise I woke up to about 5 inches of snow this morning!! Since we aren't very well equipped to handle much of any bad weather in Atlanta, the city was basically shut down and the office was closed!! I still got up pretty early and threw on some sweats and a ski jacket and my Ugg duck/snow boots, (which I was pretty happy I got last year to go to Mardi Gras) and took the pup out for a little play time. She LOVES the snow, she is still begging at the door to go play in the back yard! She kept trying to eat the snow, it was pretty cute since she would put her whole head down in it.

It was a really relaxing day otherwise. I started a new book, What The Dog Saw, by Malcolm Gladwell and its pretty good. We have a glassed in porch (basically a sun room) so I sat out there and read for a while and looked at the snow.

Here are some pictures of the snow, soon to be treacherous ice! Hopefully the city won't be shut down for too many more days or I might go stir crazy!!!

I thought this was really pretty, our bird feeders were
hot-spots today!

Our house and yard covered in snow!

Mine and Cupie's footprints in the snow

Sorry, I couldn't help it, DON'T EAT YELLOW SNOW!!

Serious icicles!
I hope everyone else who got snow enjoyed it!! Stay warm!

Dear computers, why are you so difficult?

Soooo... I somehow convinced my mom to buy me Photoshop at Costco last Friday when she and my sister popped in to grab a few things. I was so excited to get it installed,  so I decided to try and get it going when I was "babysitting" the dogs that night (Staying in on a Friday night? lame i know, but one of our fur babies just had surgery so she needed some TLC) Anywho, I popped the CD in and my computer said I needed to update my OS to the new snow leopard. Little did I know, I had to do some SERIOUS work and make several trips to Best Buy to finally get it all installed this afternoon.

I headed out to Best Buy before going to the gym Saturday morning and got the software I needed from Apple and a really cool print design program (custom header? I think so!) After going to Scott's I came home to try to install snow leopard and then Photoshop, but my comp said I needed more RAM. What the heck is RAM?!? haha Well, after talking to my rocket scientist brother (quite literally, he majored in aerospace engineering and is the smartest person I know!) I headed to Best Buy for a second time this morning after church and got the guys from the Geek Squad to upgrade the RAM, which I now know is a little card in your computer. While they were replacing the old cards, the guy asked if I had ever spilled anything on my laptop, because it looked like it was damaged beyond repair. I vaguely remember spilling some coffee on it during a late night study sesh in college, my b! But, thankfully it still works and is MUCH faster!!!
Well I got home a once again popped in the snow leopard CD and another warning came up...not enough memory space. You gotta be kidin' me!!!!! SO after a trip to my beloved Costco (can you tell we love the place in my family?) I got a portable hard drive and transferred the billions of movies and "junk" to that and I finally got it all installed!!! Woohoo!

On another not, church this morning was really great! Our pastor was talking about the gifts that we all have, and how we don't get to choose what we get and how we should use those to glorify God. I really enjoyed the sermon and I had never really thought about it before. You can watch it for yourself here.

I hope y'all had a great weekend, and here's to hoping tomorrow will be a snow day!!!

Scott's Antique Market

Today the family and I headed out to Scott's Antique market, which is just south of Atlanta. I have to say that I LOVE this place. It is 2 huge warehouses full of anything you could ever imagine, including beautiful furniture, silver, fabulous jewelry and tons of "interesting" nick-nacks. If you live anywhere near Atlanta, you have got to make it out to Scott's at some point, you will not be disappointed! It is there the second weekend of every month.

The outside of the north building...
not a great picture
My favorite part is definitely the jewelry booths, I really love estate jewelry, and it is the place to go for that. When we were there right before Thanksgiving, we found a vendor from North Carolina with some of the most AMAZING pieces, including some shell earrings with coral and gold that I died for!!! I have a pair that are very similar and were made by the same company (in the 60's I think), so I knew they were out of the question, but I could still oogle. He was there again, and his case did not disappoint! They  had so much beautiful gold jewelry, and I am on a gold kick right now (too bad its so stinkin' expensive!!) I wish I had taken some pictures, but I was too busy drooling.

I also love all of the furniture, but since I am currently residing back at home with my parents, furniture is not something I need at all. But, I saw plenty of great pieces that, if I had my way, would decorate my future house or apartment. Also, all of the silver makes me want to plan a dinner party right away, but unfortunately silver is pretty darn expensive too... oh well, one day hopefully!
Some silver and china, I love the blue and white plates!

We came across this as well,
I thought it was kind of sad:(

The rest of the day was pretty uneventful, we went to Costco and Target and my dad tagged along because he said he needed to supervise my mom and myself. He is always so thoughtful... Anyway, we got some storage boxes and a fill cart/ thing so I can get myself organized!
I hope y'all are having a great Saturday!!

The Wolf (not so much) Pack

Tell me she isn't precious?
I always joke about how my best friend has 4 legs, but I do LOVE my fur baby! I am beyond obsessed with my precious Cupid Tipsy, aka Cupie. She is a one and a half-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and I love her to death! I got her when I was in college, much to my parent's dismay, but they have fallen under spell as well. She loves to just curl up in your lap or play with her best friends Bailey and Riley. She is a spaniel at heart and loves to swim, which is unusual for a "little" dog, but I don't think she knows she is little. She plays rough with all dogs, big or small. Sometimes I'm scared she's going to get hurt, but she is pretty scrappy haha.
Bailey is our "family" dog, but she was really my dog to begin with, but according to my dad I stopped taking care of her after two weeks (I disagree!) We got her when I was a freshman in high school, and she was the cutest little "black lab" at the Atlanta Humane Society. She has gained a few lbs over the past 7 1/2 years, but has recently become much more playful with the addition of the third member of our "pack," Riley. She did have to have surgery this past week, but is doing very well.
Riley is my sister's dog and is only at home when my sister is in town, but she is the crazy one that gets the other two riled up...no pun intended. We think she is part lab/ part pit bull, but she is the sweetest dog in the world! She makes the funniest noises, like a mix between a whine and a cry and it is soo loud! She also has a boyfriend who Cupie wants to steal haha Here are some recent pictures of the girls:
Riley and Cupie dressed up for Halloween!

Three fur babies Christmas morning
I think we need another, don't you? I just love dogs! And these spoiled dogs love us too! (They got WAY too many toys for Christmas!!)

I hope y'all have a great weekend!!

Trying to get into the routine

Because it is only 6 days into the new year, I thought I would let y'all know about my goals for the year. I guess they are technically New Years resolutions, but I figure I will be more likely to stick with it if I set an actual goal. So they are:

Brooks Glycerin pant

1. Run/ bike/swim a triathlon. I found a extremely scaled down version of the Ironman called the Irongirl race, and there is one taking place just north of Atlanta on May 15th. That means that I will actually have to be able to swim, run and bike the entire thing in 4 short months. My major hurdle is getting started. I have belonged to a gym for months but I haven't gone...ooops haha In order to get me going, I figured a little shopping for some new workout gear would help, so I snagged a few necessities, and some wants, to help me out.

Brooks Glycerin Running Short

Mizuno Wave Creation 11 running shoes

2. Simplify! I am, admittedly, a hoarder. Especially with bath products, it is UNREAL!! I'm not even going to post a picture of my shower because there are bottles out the wazoo! I really need to just simplify this year, maybe just use 1 bottle of shampoo at a time, instead of having several and switching, novel idea, right? I want to get rid of all my "clutter" by March 1st (its a while away, but since I work 5 days a week it might just take that long!

3. Read 1 book a month. I love to read, but haven't done much lately so I want to set the goal of reading 1 book per month. Maybe it will cut down on my trashy television watching time, which would be another plus.

4. Lastly, I want to save money!!! I guess there is no deadline for this, but I need to start yesterday! Since I'm in the real workin' world now, there is no reason I can't save a little each month, especially since I live at home with good ole' mom and dad and don't have to pay any rent!! (I guess a few of those workout gear impulse buys didn't help this)

I'm sure I will think of more goals for the year soon, and I'll let y'all know!!

My very first blog post!

Hello all,
I have decided to start a blog about anything and everything. I'm not exactly sure where it will go, but it will probably just follow my extremely exciting (not) life! I guess this will do for a first post, but i'll be back later with something a little more substantial.
