Le Weekend: a recap

Wow, is it already Monday Wednesday? (i originally planned on posting this on Monday) Tell me it isn't so! Well I guess I know it is, because I got up early and headed off to work this morning (again), boo. Don't you wish the real world had summer vacation too? Paid obvi! I certainly do!

My weekend was busy but uneventful. Friday, I went to Abbadabba's, a shoe store in Atlanta, to buy my Vibram Five Fingers. I took the plunge and bought the orange and pink pair, however it took me about 20 minutes to get them on my feet the first time. They have since loosened up. After that, I had to go to the store to buy some beer because we were having my mom's cousin over for dinner. I went to Fresh Market (similar to Whole Foods) and I found Shiner Bock, which I thought they only sold in Texas! I was pleasantly surprised! I also popped into the wallpaper store to pick up the paper for our front hall and it is faboosh! think toile+ pinkish-red+ green... YES!

New shoes... looking goofy fo sho!
Preview of le wallpaper
Friday night I made a chicken dish for dinner, which was not as good as the first time I made it, and we had Piece of Cake cupcakes.... heaven! We had a great time celebrating my second cousin's birthday, but I was exhausted from a long week, so I read a little bit of the July Self magazine and turned in early.

Saturday morning, I got up and ran in my new 5 fingers. I only ran a half a mile because switching to a minimalist shoe can cause injury if you don't build up mileage slowly. Boy was that half mile hard though, and my calves we SO SORE yesterday! They are still sore, but not nearly as bad. My sister and I then went to the Peachtree Road Farmers Market at the Cathedral of St. Philips , where we got some grass fed beef, bread, peppers, arugula and homemade dog treats. This place was great, and I wish we had known that dogs are allowed, because Cupie would have been in heaven. It was packed too! I'm glad we got there by 10, because things were selling out fast!

For the rest of the day, we did lots of house stuff, including going to Lowe's, and hitting up several antique shops, a fiasco at the Homes Goods (more on that later) and going out to the middle of nowhere to look at counter tops for the baths. FUN, FUN, FUN... sort of. I am not going to lie, this is stressful. My mom keeps telling me it shouldn't be, but it is. I want everything right and I want it done soon! Ok, enough being bratty, but seriously, I want to get the ball moving here because we only have 1 month left to get it done! I think I will still be in my parents house for the first few weeks of school, but that's ok.

Reason for Home Goods fiasco= towels. I exchanged the aqua ones I bought several weeks ago for these light pink ones because they go better with the green counter top we chose for my bathroom. They are now waiting on my bed to go to the monogrammer. *Notice* diva Cupie sleeping in the background.

Saturday night, my sister and I babysat her boyfriend's nephews. They are so sweet! The older boy is a HOOT and the baby is very sweet. Needless to say, I was exhausted when we got home. Major props to all the mamas out there, I don't know how you do it!

Sunday was low key. We went to church then another trip to Lowes was in order. We had hamburgers for dinner and I went to bed early!

I can't believe how fast time is flying these days! I only have 4 more weeks at my job! Then 2 weeks at the beach, and then, bam, school starts! I need to get my life organized ASAP to make the move and start of school go smoothly.

Did y'all have a good weekend? I hope so!

Sun Savvy Ladies

I had another post planned for today, but when I saw a link to {av}'s new blog on Ashton's blog, Soulshine, I thought I should share my view on skin protection.

I have always had really tan skin. I get tan very quickly, and am very dark in the summer usually. I have worn sunscreen for most of my life, but I admit there have been times in the past where I have forgotten it. Or, those years as a teenager, where I didn't want to wear it all the time because I wanted to be tan. Huge misconception #1: you can't get tan while wearing sunscreen. This is absolutely wrong!  I were SPF 60 every time I am in the sun and this is the color I get:

Pretty tan, right? That is WITH tons of SPF!!

Huge misconception #2: People with naturally darker skin don't get skin cancer. I have heard so many people with naturally tan skin say they don't need SPF because they don't burn. Though burning is an indication you are getting too much sun, which can lead to skin cancer, you are still getting harmful UV rays without a burn.

I admit, that I have visited a tanning salon more than once in my life. Though never on a regular basis, I know that the few times I went were terrible for my skin. I have also laid out in the sun entirely too much in my life. Though I nearly always wore SPF, I often got too much sun. I regret these things.

Two year ago I began going to a dermatologist once a year for skin checks, and last summer I was glad I planned these visits. I'd had several moles removed before, but only "shaved" and sent to the pathologist. Non had ever shown up as bad. Last July the news was different. My derm found a mole on my back that I really had never noticed. He shaved it, and I found out about a week later that it was severe precancerous. It was not yet the "C" word, but was well on its way to being if it were not taken care of ASAP. I scheduled an appointment to have it fully removed, and went in for a procedure that lasted about 45 minutes. It was numbed, but when that wore off later in the day, it hurt. Badly. Luckily for me, those results came back from the pathologist saying the margins were clear! I was seriously relieved, and it was a HUGE wake up call. Hello Ruthie, a tan is not worth precancerous moles and painful procedures to remove several inches of skin.

After that, my doctor told me to come in every 6 months to get myself checked out, since I had a higher risk of having another bad mole because I had already had one. I went last December and was clear, and I am going in again in 2 weeks. I also wear higher SPF and am much more concerned with reapplying it often. I have extremely sensitive skin, and am allergic to almost every sunscreen, but you can see those that work for me here.

I learned from this experience to keep track of all of my moles, even those that I think are freckles (I have lots of freckles on my face). Any spots that don't go away should be kept track of. I had a white sunspot removed at one point as well. Also, I can't help but get very anxious about dermatologist appointments now, I know I need to go to them and I do, but I dread them.

I know my story is fairly common, and that I am very lucky that the mole was caught early and I did not have skin cancer. But, I could have, had I not been diligent about going to the derm. Please make an appointment to see a local dermatologist today, if for anything to rest assured that you are a-ok!

Now head over to Sun Savvy and sign the pledge to be safe in the sun!

A little bit o' random facts

I have gotten lots of new followers recently, and I wanted to say WELCOME! I am so glad and honored that you want to follow my boring, old life! haha But since there are some new people reading along, I thought I would let y'all in on some random Ruthie facts.

Here goes,

I really don't like cold foods. I never realized this until I started working and bringing my lunch, but I would rather have a hot lunch than cold any day! I don't care much for salads or sandwiches for meals.

I used to be a Coca-cola and Dr. Pepper addict, but now I don't drink either because I am caffeine free! Ha that sounds like it's an illegal drug

I always sing in the car. For some reason, I am very good at memorizing songs, so I usually know everything on the radio and love to sing along. I'm not talking humming or any of that business, I mean belting it out! Right now my favorite jams to sing to are Honey Bee by Blake Shelton and Stronger by Sara Evans.

I was obsessed with Dalmatians as a child and watched 101 Dalmatians like it was my job! I wanted one so bad, or any dog for that matter, but my family never got a dog until I was in high school. My favorite stuffed animal, that I may or may not still sleep with on occasion, is a dalmatian named Fritzy. Loves him!
Isn't he cute? A little "worn" and he lacks a nose due to a chewing Bailey dog, but still cute!

I basically totaled my first car by running into a gas station... literally into the front of the store. RIP Baxter.

I like to be super organized, but I feel like I am always all over the place.

I am very shy with people my own age, but have no problem talking to older people or kids. At the wedding last weekend, my friends went to the bathroom and came back to find me chatting it up with a group of 50+ adults. Gotta love it.

I prefer salty over sweet, and my favorite foods are french fries or potato chips with Publix french onion dip. It has to be the Publix brand.

That being said, I love candy! Mostly sour candy, like sour patch kids, sour watermelons, sour straws, sour belts, etc. I also like peanut M&M's and coconut and chocolate. But, if I had to choose between salty and candy, I would stick with salty.

I usually get tomato juice on flights.

I love to read, but I don't think I ever read a required summer reading book in middle or high school. Something about having to do it took all the fun out of it. Thank goodness for Spark Notes and Pink Monkey Notes.

Lastly, I love getting into a nicely made bed, yet I rarely take the time to make my bed in the morning. Evidence:

Anything else y'all want to know? Let me know your questions and I will try to answer them!

What I'm lovin'

Sorry for no post yesterday, I was busy at work, then went out to dinner. And you know I had to be in bed by 9, duh! I am linking back up with Jamie for WILW, join us why don't you?

So, today I'm loving... Weight Watchers Points Plus! It is so easy, there is even an iPhone app so I can track my points wherever I am!

I'm loving... warm weather! No explanation needed here!

I'm loving... my Filofax planner. I cannot live without that bad boy and it is in my purse at all times! I would lose me head if it weren't attached, so staying organized with my planner is key for me.

I'm loving... my new running compression shorts. I have found that running in shorts, like the Nike tempos, ride up and I am constantly pulling them down. I have seen many runners wear spandex, so I wore a pair of Lulu Lemon shorts I have had for ages on a run last week. Alls I can say is genius! I even ordered 2 pairs from moving comfort (I had never heard of the brand but saw them on Running Warehouse) and they are faboosh as well!
Running Warehouse is a great site with everything you need for running, so if you are in the market for new gear, check them out!

I'm loving... the Vibram 5 finger shoes... So, I have ALWAYS made fun of those goofy shoes, but the more I read about them, the more I want them. Let me make this clear, they are ONLY for running and possibly if I need water shoes. I will not be wearing these around town. Ok, glad we are clear on that one. I think I am going to splurge and get them, but I can decide which color, what do you think? Pink and orange or green and silver?
I'm loving... that I got both Women's Health and Self in the mail today! I read both of these front to back and was thrilled to see them come in. The weird thing is, I used to love Glamour and Cosmo, which I have subscriptions to as well, but I haven't read either of them in a while.

I'm loving... that I will be leaving for 2 blissful weeks on the beach in T- one month! Woohoooooo! I need a vacay so bad, and I think it will be just the thing to get me rested and ready to tackle law school, don't you think?

I'm also loving my family, and my sweet little Cupid, as always!

What are you loving today? Link up with Jamie and tell us all about it!

Until tomorrow,

Weddings and things!

This weekend was great, but really exhausting! I did absolutely zero on Friday night. After dinner with the fam, I watched a little TV and went to sleep early with big plans to run and go to my first WW meeting Saturday morning before we had to run some errands for the house.

.... welllll, that didn't happen. I didn't get up until almost 9 and my mom and I had to be at the wallpaper store when it opened at 10:30. Actually, Friday after work I did do one thing, go with my dad to the wallpaper store and order the paper for our front hall in the new house. I was IN LOVE with that paper and excited that it was ordered. Well, when we got home there was a message on the machine saying that particular paper had been discontinued and there were no more rolls in stock. Are you kiddin' me? I was mad, but I knew there was nothing we could do. I digress. So, mom and I went and picked out another one, only after I spent a while trying to convince her to get the same print as the fabric on the pillows in this post. It didn't work, so we chose another one and left.

We then went and picked up all of the furniture we had upholstered and it all looks great! I can't wait to get it all in the house, but that won't be for a while. After the upholsterer I filled up my car, had lunch with some friends, then packed up my stuff to head to Alabama for one of my best guy friends from high school's wedding. It was just south of Birmingham and took us about 2.5 hours to get there but it was a pretty drive.

The wedding was beautiful and the couple looked very much in love! I was happy to catch up with some old friends I had not seen in a while and over imbibe in some drinks. We had a great time dancing the night away, but I was pooped when we got back to the hotel, so I went to sleep while everyone else stayed up and continued the party.

Here are some pictures from the wedding:

Me and the groom... where am I looking? ha

The cute couple cutting the cake, which was gorgeous!

All of our friends from high school who were there

Another cute couple! I am very proud of my friend who went to West Point!

The other 2 girls

Sunday, we got up and had a delish and healthy {not} meal at the Wa Ho (if you aren't familiar with this name for Waffle House you might not be from the South) and then got on the road back to Atlanta. My friend and I decided we were hungry again on the way back so we stopped for lunch at Zaxby's only 2 hours after breakfast. Weight watchers, what?

When I got home I threw on a swim suit and hung out with my sister and her boyfriend in the pool. Then we had a great dinner to celebrate my sweet dad. We gave him a facial and a foot reflexology session at a spa. He LOVES to have his feet rubbed, and we all refuse, so we thought that was a good idea. I have no clue why my mom got him a facial as well, haha.

Did y'all have a good weekend? I certainly hope so!

School clothes!

I can't believe that I will start law school in less than two months! Oh my, freaking out has commenced. I literally check the website every day to make sure I am not forgetting anything or missing out on important info. The crazy thing is I still have not even seen/ stepped foot on the campus. I probably need to do that soon...

So, this post is about school clothes. I found out that there is no dress code (apparently some law schools have one) but second years have said that looking "nice," as in no PJ's (I didn't even do that in undergrad), can be helpful for networking. So, I plan to dress for success. I feel like I am always pretty put together, but I want to add more casual skirts to my wardrobe, as well as tops that are nicer than a plain old t-shirt. Also, shirt dresses and comfy dresses for long days in the law library.

So, here is what I am thinking:

Lacoste polo dresses:

Comfy dresses and skirts: (all from J Crew)

Snazzy Casual tops with a cute skirt or nice dark denim or capris (yup, the J Crew cafe capri is my JAM):

Ralph Lauren button down oxfords= easy and preppy! Do they make this in a shirt dress? If so I NEED that as well!

Elizabeth McKay ruffled blouse

J Crew silk Casbah blouse

J Crew Ink Dip Popover
I just feel like all of my clothes are so BLAH and I want some items that I will feel great wearing. I don't own many cute daytime blouses, or going out blouses, for that matter! I am also in dire need of comfy dresses. I have tons of jersey material dresses from last summer, but sadly they no longer fit (hopefully not for long, though).

Also, vineyard Vines used to make great twill skirts that were in the same colors as all of their twill shorts, but their website only shows khaki, white and navy... boring! Though the navy might have to make its way into my closet haha. VV, what happened to all the cute colors?!?

Any thoughts on places to check out cute, preppy clothes that are casual but still look nice? I love E McKay, but that top will probably break the bank, so I am talking value as well as quality!

I am taking a leap into the {semi} unknown

I know I have talked a lot about my weight on this blog, but I do because it is something I really struggle with. I went from being a chubby preteen, to a scary skinny high schooler and college freshman (I had/ have a stomach disease that caused me to drop tons of weight until I went on meds to control it). And, I have come full circle, as I am now a "chubby" young adult. I hate the way I look these days, and that makes my attitude about life really bad. I have tried to get on healthy eating and exercising kicks, but I haven't really been that motivated. So, today I signed up and paid to join Weight Watchers. My mom and I followed it for a while last Fall, but we both kind of stopped (which is why this is semi unknown territory). But now I am officially a member and I will go to weigh ins and count my points religiously. These pictures don't quite show the comparison, but you can still see. The second picture is me with about 35 extra pounds. Wow... how does that even happen?!? I know part of it is a thyroid problem I just found out and taking a medication that causes "extreme weight gain," so without those factors and with WW I think I can get back to a healthy weight.

Excuse the goofy pic... we had just been to the
SMU/ TCU game and had 1 too many cocktails

I am not trying to drop tons of weight, but my doctor agreed that I am "medically overweight," and I need to drop a few. I want to be healthy most of all, but I would also like to avoid the stress of getting dressed and having to try on 10 things until I can find something in my closet that is not too tight. I am not kidding. I would also like to get back into some of my cute Lillys from last summer (a very important thing for me).

So, has anybody else done WW? Especially the new Points+ system? Did it work for you? Let me know!

Lesson Learned

I know I have done several posts on life lessons recently, but Monday I learned a VERY important life lesson that I knew y'all would want to know before you make the same mistake.

Lesson: NEVER eat a burrito while driving...

Or this will happen:

Oh, and this too
I had to take some new fabric to our upholsterer on Monday during my lunch break and decided I would just grab something quick on my way back to the office. I was just gonna get a Chick-fil-a sandwich and a large diet lemonade (lunch of champions) but I decided a burrito from Willy's sounded soooo much better. So I ran in a got my burrito and was planning on eating when I got back to the office... but then I got hungry so I unwrapped the foil and proceeded to devour eat it.

Just before I turned into our garage I felt something drip onto my dress, and sure enough burrito juice (aka salsa, beans, and cheese dip) dribbled down the front of my dress. DANG! I was just thinking to myself that I was a great  eater while driving, too. (I have mastered eating a Chick-fil-a nugget meal, dipping the nugs and all, while driving) I am no longer so cocky about my abilities.

So, remember this the next time you are craving a burrito while driving friends. And yes, I did get some weird stares walking around with burrito reminants all over the front of my dress for the rest of the afternoon. (BTW, Tide pens don't work very well.)

Great Finds!

I thought I would quickly share with y'all 2 great finds from our antiquing adventures this weekend! (I was playing around with photoshop, which is why I wrote on the pictures. I am not great at it)

An AMAZING garden stool with feathers on it for my den. I have never seen a garden stool like this one (they are usually oriental looking), and it will go perfectly next to a black Thomas Jefferson chair to hold a cocktail or 2.

Beautiful pillows! We saw these at Scott's, and knew we had to buy the set. Our upholsterer had a chaise lounge in his shop for a while with this exact same fabric, except for a brown background, and my dad just loved the fabric! I did too, but the light blue background puts it over the top for me! We wanted to find the same fabric to upholster a window seat for the room, but that fabric be expensive (between $150-$200 per yard... for a linen fabric!) It is a Shumacher, and the print is called Chiang Mai Dragon. If anyone wants to send me several yards of this, it would be much appreciated ;)

Well I am off to bed, I will be back tomorrow with tons of recipes and pictures of food I made this weekend!

Oh, and this is my 100th post!! I can't even believe I have had 100 things to blog about, and that y'all actually want to read them! I am blown away and so thankful for all of my bloggy friends!!

Closing time, time for you to go out, go out into the world...

Who else loves 90's music as much as I do? I love that Semisonic song, but "closing time" for me these days is not as much about a bar, as it is about a house! Yep, we closed on the house yesterday so now I my parents are officially (second) homeowners! Exciting times, but stressful times for sure.

We have some serious decisions to make this weekend and in the coming weeks, and I will be glad when they are made. I did go down to the house yesterday afternoon, and it looks much different empty (read "looks like it needs much more work than I thought") I took pictures of each room so I can compare after all of the renovations are over. I might show y'all a sneak peak of the "before" this weekend, but you will have to wait until it is finished to see most of the pictures.

My dad is in Cali visiting my brother this weekend, so my mom and I are going to be doing some furniture/ decor shopping alone this weekend (dad usually has to approve everything). Our first stop is going to be Scott's Antique Market, you can read a previous post about Scott's here.

That will be an all day adventure, and will hopefully be successful! Otherwise it will be a low-key weekend for me. I am looking forward to some R&R, because I was going NONSTOP last weekend!

What are your plans for the weekend? Do tell!

I hope y'all have a great weekend!

Hump Day? More like Slump Day

Y'all... I'm in a blogging slump like it's nobody's business. I just cannot think of anything creative to post about that I haven't already talked about. I need some serious inspiration.

How I feel. Image via Google

So, what do y'all want to know or want me to post about? Do you like my cooking posts? Or random life posts? My fashion/ beauty expertise adventures? I am sort of at a loss... ugh

Let me know your thoughts please! And, if you have been checking out my blog for a while but haven't made the "big commitment" to follow yet, please do! That would make me feel much better about le slump :)

Money Saving Tips From a Not-So-Money-Savvy Gal: Part Deux

I am back today with another money saving tip for you ladies. I hope at least somebody found the mani/ pedi post helpful! So, money-saving idea:

         2. Refrain from eating out very often.

I always ate out in college and spent a TON of money doing it. But, I have found that eating at home and taking your lunch can save some serious change for other things you might have your eye on.

There are days where I forget my lunch, or just don't have anything to bring, and I end up spending about $10 just grabbing something around my office. That is $50 a week if you eat out every day, just for lunch! I could buy {almost} a week's worth of groceries for that! And, eating dinner or breakfast out on top of that? Kiss your paycheck goodbye!

I like to make sure I have enough food to take for lunch all week on Sunday afternoons so I won't end up empty handed by Friday lunch. I usually take frozen Smart Ones or Lean Cuisines, because they are lower in fat/ calories and I like having a hot lunch. Sometimes I will take a salad if I have leftover chicken as well.

I think a big part of eating in to save money is meal planning. I did this in college, but living back at home has not been as conducive to this habit. Planning out a week's worth of meals before you go to the grocery cuts down on grocery trips, and prevents the need for last-minute meal decisions (which for me are usually unhealthy and expensive). It also helps me not to snack, since I will only buy what is on my grocery list.

How do y'all save money on meals? Anybody else avoid eating lunch out? Let me know your thoughts or if you have good meal planning tips!

Have a great day!

Are you ready for the weekend?

I am SO ready, even though I really only had a 3 1/2 day week, it felt soooo drawn out! I was looking forward to relaxing by in the pool because it is supposed to be in the mid 90s this weekend, but unfortunately, my mom has other plans. House plans, that is. I am ready for this to be over with already!

Since it is officially summer, I am super excited about one thing: fruit. All of my favorite fruits are coming into season and I am soo glad! Georgia peaches, fresh strawberries and watermelon and at the top of my summer food list, along with anything grilled.

I am also ready to be tan. Usually by June 1 I have a healthy glow (read "I am dark brown"), but since the days of nannying at the pool are gone, I am so pale, which I do not enjoy. I just need a week to layout and work on my color, is that too much to ask?

Ok, enough Friday randomness. Y'all have a great day!

Wednesday Randomness!

Can y'all believe today is June 1? I mean, what? June? I feel like I just started this lil bloggy, and it has almost been 6 months! Whoa dang!

Anyway, I have not recapped my weekend, so here goes:

My parents were out of town this weekend again, so Friday night I had two girlfriends over for dinner. I made my delicious oven baked chicken fingers, oven fries and roasted broccoli. It was all really yummy, but I felt like I was in the kitchen all afternoon, which was a real bummer since I left work early. Oh, I forgot, when I left work I had to go exchange part of the birthday gift my sister gave me at a skincare boutique here in Atlanta. She gave me a bottle of Moroccan oil, but I already had one so I exchanged it for the Bobbi Brown lip crayon in coral pink, and I love it! It goes on really smoothly and is a pretty color.
I also stopped by our local Lilly signature store and picked up a new pair of Callahan's in Scallop Pink and the color is so pretty and feminine.

Anyways, dinner was great, and we had a fun time chatting into the evening with a little red wine.

Saturday morning I slept in and then made the best omelet I have ever had! It had onions, broccoli, potatoes and chicken in  it with cheddar cheese. I used left over chicken from the night before (some of the pieces didn't have the breading because I ran out, oops!) and leftover "fries" and it was delish!

I then went to the mall to do some exchanges/ returns from online orders and then headed out to the pool for the afternoon! It was so nice, but hot, hot, hot!! I was looking forward to relaxing, but Cupie was looking forward to swiming, so I threw the ball for about an hour and a half and then had to sit and listen to her whine for another hour because she wanted to play more. I decided it was time to head in and shower because I needed to go to the grocery to get a few items for dinner for that night. I made homemade whole wheat fettuccine with homemade bolognese sauce and it was so good! I even had the leftovers for lunch today (is that too long to keep leftovers?) I will post the recipe later this week!
No, that is not a rat, it is a wet Cupie.

Two of my friends came to dinner that night and then we decided to go out in Virginia Highlands, which was fun too much fun, because I was h.u.n.g.o.v.e.r. on Sunday!

When  I finally rolled out of bed at 1:30 Sunday afternoon, I headed to my friend Adam's parents house for a lovely day by their beautiful pool and some tasty food! They built their pool within the last few years and it is so nice, an oasis if you will! Other than feeling crappy, I had a great time, but was tired when I got home at 10 that evening.

Monday, I got up and hung out with my sister and her boyfriend and then decided that I needed Zaxby's. If you have never experienced Zaxby's you are missing out BIG time! It is almost as good as Raising Canes... almost, but not quite. Anyway, the closest one to my house is 20 minutes away and you know I drove there and back for some delish chicken fingers! They are opening one 5 minutes from my house soon, so I am PUMPED about that. Fat kids club meetings!

After scarfing eating my Zaxby's, I headed to TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods to look for towels. I am picky about towels, and though I love how nice white ones look, that just ain't happening with makeup. I have plenty of towels (as in 3+ different sets) at my parent's, but I wanted a new set for the new house. I found some really pretty plain aqua ones at HomeGoods that I had to have, but being the dummy I am, I only bought 2 "sets" (bath towel, face towel, and washcloth) so I had to head back over there yesterday to get 2 more sets. I am going to take them to be monogrammed this weekend, I think in white, but maybe a light pink? Who knows!

After my towel extravaganza (like the way I made it sound more exciting than it was?) my parents got home and we headed down to the new house to meet the contractor. As I told y'all yesterday, this is getting more and more stressful by the day! I think we got everything all figured out though, so when closing time comes and goes we will be ready to roll with the minor renovations!

Monday night, the family + my sister's boyfriend went to a local pasta place, Figo Pasta, for dinner and then came back to an early bedtime!

I had a nice, mostly relaxing weekend (minus the hangover on Sunday) and I hope y'all did too!
